- The Arabian Tent company was founded by Katherine Hudson at the tender age of 21. She spotted a hole in the market after needing a marquee for a party herself, and couldn’t believe there was so little choice and no one had thought to make marquees beautiful! Being a female-led business we pride ourselves on gender equality and more than 30% of our tent riggers are female and you can still Katherine on site building marquees with the rest of our brilliant team!
- Arabian Tents started after Katherine was inspired by fabrics and props during her early travels to Morocco and India where her creative juices started flowing as she started having fun with fabric! Being a festival lover herself - first one on the dance floor, last one off - event design and making events beautiful are simply in her nature!
- The sky is the limit! Having worked with everyone from celebrities to royalty, we can literally create bespoke environments. And with such a huge armoury of décor and furniture, we pride ourselves in the ability to create a bespoke environment for each and every event we do that reflects the individual and their special event.

- We care about the environment! Our team is very passionate about sustainability with most of us vegetarian or vegan. We reuse, recycle and work with our conscious partners. To offset the harmful carbon emissions that our vehicles are producing when transporting the kit to event sites, we are now planting trees in partnership with Sustainably run!
- We stay local in 2022! While we have set up event all over England and indeed Europe in previous years, we are now committed to sticking to a 100 miles radius to decrease the negative impact on the environment of our transport.
- Arabian Tents does not just hire out marquees, or even just linings! While most marquee companies simply provide the structure, flooring, and lighting, we also stock a wide selection of furniture, lighting and props that can transform your space for whichever event you’re planning. Described by Event Planners as a cross between a marquee company and a production company, we have the ability to design, manufacture, and install as well!
- Creation is in our DNA! Most of our linings, furnishings and props are unique pieces designed by Katherine and hand-crafted, often with the vision to reuse and recycle resources. Think tyre furniture, pallet furniture, recycled bars and cushion covers made from spare materials. This means that if you are looking for something we do not stock yet, there is a good chance we can source, or custom make it for you!
- We love diversity! You won’t meet an Arabian Tent team member that doesn’t consist of multiple cultures, sexual orientations, or world views! We celebrate our differences as we know that is what makes us unique and what brings us together as a close-knit team. While event production is seasonal, our tent riggers and stylists return each year with new enthusiasm and excitement for another wild ride!
- Arabian Tents have celebrity clients! While we never brag, over the years we have assisted some very well-known individuals with our services from Spice Girls to TV presenters, pop princesses, royalty and beyond… we have done it all. But, our lips are sealed.
