The Oyster Pearl dressed in greenery, illuminated at night

Sussex Spring Open Day

Over here at Arabian Tents, we are still feeling the warm fuzzy glow from our Sussex Spring Open Day! We would just like to say thank you to everybody that came down on the day - the weather held out and it made for a glorious day.

And for those of you who weren’t able to join us on our Sussex Spring Open Day, we wanted to share the love with our collaborators, and share our favourite images with you! Captured by the talented Light Trick Photography, these gorgeous images really capture the ambiance of the day.

It was the second year that Rye Farm played host for our Open Day, and it made for a lovely backdrop.

Children enjoying the day at Rye Farm

This year, the focus was all about the finer details, the finishing touches, and the extra pizazz that we have become synonymous for. And with Greenery as our inspiration - so inspired by Panetones colour of the year - we set to create a brand new look for our open day.

And with the new greenery look revealed in the Oyster Pearl tent, the grand revel of the ochre-yellow Saffron tent and the Round Oyster dressed with rustic pallet furniture, guests had an oasis of tents to explore at Rye Farm.

The Saffron

The Saffron tent was furnished with low level seating to give it a relaxed, bohemian vibe, and a Coconut tree in the middle - and with featuring real Coconut tree leaves, they make you feel as if you are truly transported to somewhere exotic!

Faux sheep fur were placed on top of the black munjis and foot stools.

The Round Oyster

Described as a 'Dream Cloud' by the children attending the Open Day, the Round Oyster looks as spectacular during the day as it does illuminating against the night sky. Dressed simply with rustic pallet furniture, the high pointed ceiling leaves a blank canvas that can be draped and lit up with fairy lights or festoon lighting. We have a feeling this tent will be a big hit this season at Weddings, parties, and corporate events due to the feeling of 'space' encompassing  the Round Oyster.

Greenery in the Oyster Pearl tent

To really encompass the greenery look in the Oyster Pearl tent, grass was chosen as opposed to carpet, really giving the feeling of letting the outside, in. A cream carpeted aisle led the way to the astro turf bar, where prosecco and cupcakes could be enjoyed. Handmade by Arabian Tents, this one-of-a-kind bar really set the tone for the rest of the look, and we were so excited for it to be part of the photo shoot and the Sussex Spring Open Day.

The bespoke chandelier was also a highlight of the event and was designed and made in house. Hanging wisteria was entwined into the frame, and really drew guest's eyes up to view the vaulted ceiling.

The white washed tables and barrels are from Co-Ordination Caterers, and are the first of their kind in the U.K! Our drapers intertwined oyster coloured chiffon through our Chivari Chairs, complementing the white washed tables beautifully and giving an extra air of opulence.

Co-ordination Caterers also provided the cutlery, wine and flute glasses. The plates from their ‘Simplicity’ range offset the structured look of the Monstera leaf beautifully.

Also thank you to Russet and Gray, whose personalised Boho Floral place names and menu cards really added a nice touch to the tables, and looked lovely in the midst of the greenery.

For the chillout areas, white sofas were used with tropical print cushions, and lampshades for the side tables, which were handmade especially for the shoot, and add a pop of colour.

Photo Booth

The photo booth was also out on display, and went down a storm with guests, capturing all the moments in between! Our photo booth, with foliage backdrop, seating and props are available to hire all season.

The Light Garden

The light garden was also set up for the first time this season. Featuring a giant fire Kadai bowl, a twinkling LED tree, two barrels, and rustic pallet furniture, this is a great way to add a focal point for your guests outside and keep them toast warm as the temperature drops!
