What is more hot and trending, throwing a Christmas or New Year's Eve party?

Christmas is warm and friendly, woolly jumpers, mince pies and gluttony, carols round the piano, mulled wine. New Year's Eve is sparkle and vibe, twirling on dancefloors, snogs at midnight and quaffing champagne. Which sounds hotter to you?

The answer to whether you should throw a Christmas or NYE party this depends on a few factors. The most important is how much competition will you have for your guests. Is your loaded friend throwing another of their infamous New Year’s Eve parties with a proper line-up of DJs and a chocolate fountain? Then do yourself a favour and don’t compete. Or throw a smaller super-fun daytime party as a warmup.

Things you need to consider before you decide:

What Is Your Venue?

Are you using your house? Hiring a bar or taking over a restaurant? A perfect Christmas party can be cosily crammed into your lounge midweek, whereas a New Year’s Eve party may be over the top at home.

How Big Is Your Guest-list?

New Year’s Parties need the clout of all your mates to be totally amazing. And to achieve this you need the groundswell of early enthusiasm to get everyone on board. That trademark New Year’s Eve vacillation is the affliction of every party planner. Which is why a Christmas bash can be so much more relaxed, fun and happy. The expectation for NYE is sky high. Disappointment is frequent (if not annual).

Do You Have A Vision?

You may already have your heart set on a Studio 54 themed bash that just screams NYE. Then do not let us stand in your way. Don those flares and throw down. Just make sure you book the biggest disco ball you can find.

When throwing a party it’s always colourful, inviting, warm and relaxing – she loves the Purple Palace interior as it apparently looks good against everyone and she makes sure there is always a ‘surprise’ for guests, whether it be a secret room to discover, an alternative performance or after-dinner liqueur treats. She believes that people parties are important and moments at them are remembered for the rest of people’s lives, so it’s important to break the ice as fast as possible and get on with having fun! The next project she’s working on is a new structure design that should be manufactured and ready to be unveiled to the world next year!
