Aviation and polo, could this be the height of luxury corporate hospitality? We were certainly honoured to be called on by not one, but two private charter jet and helicopter companies to help design a luxury space for a prestigious corporate event in Surrey, because a stretch tent would just not do!

Although our elegant canvas marquees are far more used to luxury weddings than large corporate events, we knew the Dana Pearl with its unique twin peaks and glamorous lofty interior would be the perfect backdrop to Luxaviation and Castle Air’s annual exhibition polo match.

And wasn’t it something. With an opening from the Red Devils themselves, 650 clients and their families were welcomed to Hurtwood Park Polo Club to witness the spectacle all in support of Fly2Help.

Luxury corporate events on this scale require meticulous planning, and after initially contemplating a stretch tent Castle Air approached us enquire about other more high end marquee hire options.

After understanding the requirements for the marquee and guest numbers Katherine realised that the Lulu marquee would need to be upgraded to a Dana Pearl marquee (with double peaked ceiling) to provide enough space for all the guests to have a communal area to mingle and shelter in if needed.

This glamorous art deco style marquee would also create the perfect backdrop for the event, and when Castle Air saw plans of how the space would be arranged and what it would accommodate they were impressed.

It was obviously the right choice as Castle Air were delighted with comments on the way the marquee looked and the focal point it created.

Oyster shucking, hot air balloons and a drone display were among the array of activities organised for the families throughout the day; and of course the main event, which saw Castle Air’s victory over Luxaviation breaking their two year winning streak!

This event was in support of fly2help, a charity dedicated to changing lives using the power and wonder of flight. They offer Air Smiles Experiences and Air High Showcases to young people and their families who are going through difficult life experiences.

Castle Air and Luxaviation hosted a charity auction for the cause as well as gifting children helicopter rides and hot air balloon experiences as part of the fun.

The Dana Pearl marquee has an air of the Moghul dynasty with luxurious vaulted ceilings and a stylish extended veranda.

There is no need to do much styling to this marquee as it is so grand in itself. Two wisteria chandeliers dressed the inside of the tent amply, with living plants from Architectural Plants Ltd along the open side creating the perfect ‘inside outside’ feel.

One of the Head sponsors, Everatti had their redefined Porsche 964 911 showcased alongside a Mercedes Benz SL ‘Pagoda’ inside the marquee which was a popular focus.

Ending the day with a stunning drone display by Drone Swarm featuring helicopters, aeroplanes and polo mallets as well as live music by Martin Bell and Simply Red was perfection.

Castle Air and Luxaviation made sure to provide their guests with a whole host of stunning spectacles in an intimate and fun environment, with just the right level of luxury.

Overall, this corporate event was a roaring success, with more to build on next year… Guests’ friends are already asking for tickets!
