Arabian Tents are actually one of the longest running decor and marquee hire companies in the UK at 21 years old this year.
During this time we’ve amassed a huge collection of decor, props, furniture, ornaments and drapes as well as history and experience.
So here’s a little insight into these years and a few little known facts about us…

Founded by Katherine Hudson (pictured above with her daughter and best friend Augustine who has also been a key member of Arabian Tents since the beginning) after needing a marquee for a party herself- she couldn’t believe there was so little choice, and no one had thought to make marquees beautiful! So she went to Morocco to find one, and drove it back strapped to the roof of her truck.
This is how the story began, but all this time later you’ll still find Katherine on site building beautiful outdoor parties and beautifying marquees with the rest of the team.

Being a Taurus and a festival lover herself (always first on the dance floor and the last to leave) and the original creator of the rabbit hole stage amongst other notorious festival tents. Event design and making outdoor events beautiful are simply in Katherine’s nature.

Each outdoor event is planned from scratch starting with a unique layout based on guest numbers, vibe requirements and venue. Marquees are combined together to create separate rooms and unique spaces or stand alone depending on size needs. Each detail is meticulously planned to create the best possible experience for guests and hosts.
Creation is in our DNA. Most of our marquee decor, linings, furnishings and props are unique pieces designed by Katherine and hand-crafted by our team or other creatives, often with the vision to reuse and recycle resources. Tyre furniture, pallet furniture, recycled bars and cushion covers made from spare materials. If you are looking for something we don’t hire, there’s a good chance we can source, or custom make it for you.

Our team is very passionate about sustainability. We reuse, recycle, mend, re-hire and work with conscious event partners. To offset the harmful carbon emissions that our vehicles are producing when transporting kit to event sites, we are now planting trees in partnership with Sustainably run.

Whilst most marquee hire companies simply provide the structure, flooring, and lighting, we cover every detail including unique marquee linings, decor hire, draping, furniture, lighting and props that transform any space. Leaned on and described by Event and wedding Planners as a cross between marquee hire and a production company, we have the ability to design, manufacture, and install the full event package.

As a company built on the love of travel, culture and art from around the world we celebrate our differences and relish in our diverse team. We are a worldly crew with different orientations and views and we know our strength lies in our diversity. While event production is seasonal, our tent riggers and stylists return each year with new inspiration, enthusiasm and excitement for another wild ride.

Over the years we have created some extremely high profile parties, built bespoke events for party royalty, big name DJs and worked with many VIPs from TV presenters, pop princesses and royalty. But, our lips are sealed.
