Just getting started with planning?
Tell us a bit about your Indian Wedding and we can send you information tailored to your needs.
In the 16th Century, as the Mughal Empire expanded across northern India and Rajasthan, huge nomadic tent cities of thousands of marquees and ‘tent palaces’ were erected for the travelling elite. Showmanship and luxury were key.
The exquisite structures drew inspiration from the complex and unique architecture that was emerging from within the empire at the time - there could be no finer inspiration for us to design our Indian wedding marquees.
This rich history of design is now synonymous with Indian weddings and events - and the art of Indian tent craftsmanship has not been lost by us. House of Hud was born from inspiration in India in 2004 and our heart still lies in re-creating the incredible atmosphere of the tented palaces for Indian marquee hire.
Our Raj tent remains a firm favourite in Indian wedding marquee hire. The ornate design uses traditional block-printing methods to create a homely and yet regal effect, making it the perfect Indian wedding marquee.
Our Bombay Boudoir tent is a bright, vibrant and fun interior that has become a popular choice for Mendhi nights and Henna parties. Planning a wedding with the glamour of Bollywood and the romance of twinkling summer nights? The sensual hues and intricate textures of the Bombay Boudoir will provide the ideal backdrop.
All our Indian marquees for hire celebrate the rich spectacle of the Maharajas and create a truly romantic ambience for your ceremony. Our majestic Mughal wedding tent seats up to 130 guests, with a central pyramid section offering more space and style than a standard marquee. Regal and opulent but oh-so fun, our velvet Purple Palace will transform any wedding or post-wedding party in to a seriously decadent affair. All of our Indian marquees make an exquisite Indian wedding venue and lavish atmosphere.
Why not experiment with our ranges of beautiful Indian linings, furnishings and accessories? Mandap chairs for the bride and groom, silk-cushioned day-beds, stunning four-poster beds, low level ornate tables for informal seating, or go grand with exquisite formal dining furniture. Indian garden parasols and Indian garden umbrellas provide bright highlights of colour and can be used to accentuate and bring height on the inside, as well as the outside of the venue. We can provide all the little details too; such as ornaments and lamps.
We create many fantasy Indian weddings throughout the year and thrive on positive feedback. We’re proud that our success has been built on personal recommendations.
