How did you get into photography?

I’d always loved the nostalgia around photography, and it was a means to remember sweet, funny, silly things from my past.  I accidentally fell into the corporate world (Deloitte…eek!), and swiftly ditched it to follow my dream of becoming a professional photographer!  Joey came into photography almost by osmosis; but now we’re inseparable… a London-based, culturally diverse, fun-loving couple travelling internationally to shoot the weddings of amazing people!!!

How would you describe your style?

We don’t think of ourselves as fine art, alternative, quirky, trendy; we’re just two people that believe that everyone has a story worth celebrating, and deserves to enjoy the experience of having their wedding photographed and their idiosyncrasies high-fived.  We’re the photographers that know the names of our couples’ closest family and friends; how they met, who they were then, who they are now, what they’re excited about, what they’re nervous about; we remember that their bestie has flown across the world to play a special song, or survived cancer to be there at their wedding.  Whatever that makes our style, that’s who we are!

What is the best wedding you've ever shot?

Oh man… that’s a tough one!!  We only ever shoot weddings of relaxed, stylish, fun couples - so those tend to be relaxed, stylish, fun weddings!  If pushed, I’d have to say the sunny European weddings with dripping sunlight and flowing food and booze have an extra special place in my heart!

What tip would you give to Brides and Grooms when choosing a photographer?

Well, if you don’t choose us then… just kidding.  Apart from photo style, just be sure that you trust, like and feel comfortable with your photographer - after all, they’ll be around you all day and it’s a very personal relationship, in a way.  For us, getting to know you is a huge part of producing our best photos for you, so this connection is one of the most important parts to get right.  That’s our take on it, anyway.  Good luck!
